If you want your child to have a top-notch oral health, then our dentist, Dr. Carolyn Walker, is more than happy to help you. Fortunately, there are many things you can do to help your child achieve that optimal health goal, and today our dentist is happy to tell you all about them. To help your child, it’s best to do the following things:

-Make sure your kid is cleaning their teeth regularly (Use a child-sized, soft-bristled toothbrush to brush their teeth twice a day.)

-Make sure your kid visits their dentist (They should visit our office every six months.)

-Make sure your kid doesn’t eat many tooth-harming foods (This includes things that are sugary and acidic.)

-Make sure your kid doesn’t go to bed with a bottle or sippy cup of milk (Going to bed with this beverage can promote baby bottle tooth decay.)

-Make oral hygiene fun (You can do so by playing their favorite music while they brush or giving them oral hygiene tools with their favorite cartoon characters on them.)

-Make losing teeth fun (You can do so by introducing the Tooth Fairy and rewarding them each time they lose a chomper.)
